Music Transcends All Cultures and People

Monday, November 19th, 2018

I was trying to tell my teen daughter that music can bring people together. She did not understand that music was a thing that made people feel connected to one another. It is great to be able to listen to things and feel a connection to people who are around the world and may also be listening to the same song at the same time. I tried to get her to look at a Hindi songs download that I had taken off of the internet that my friends and I used to listen to while we were in college. I would have many different people over to my house so that they could listen to the music I had brought back from my college when I went home for breaks in my small home town. I think that people thought I was changing and was becoming too weird for them in my own small hometown. I told all of those people that it was not a problem and that I would always be the same person.

I think it’s really important to teach your kids about different cultures because when you do, it encourages them to understand more about other people. The more you understand about other people, the more ability you have to find common ground. When you find common ground with another person it allows you to open up and talk about things that you may not have otherwise felt comfortable doing so. I think when you make a connection with someone it is also helpful whether you realize it or not. You will never be able to stop dealing with other people, so make the most of it and best of it. It is important for people to understand that there is not one side to every story.

Chiropractic Treatments Worked for My Back Pain

Friday, November 16th, 2018

When my daughter started dating a member of the football team at her university, I knew they were meant for each other. She brought him home for dinner about a month after they started dating, and he fit in with our family like he had been a part of it forever. There was no awkwardness at all, and he actually helped me tremendously just on that first visit. He noticed that I was having trouble with my back and asked me if I had considered chiropractic for pain relief. I had not, because I just figured the pain was part of getting older.

He told me to look around and see how many other people my age were having to hold onto their backs when they got out of a chair or after just a minute or so of work. He had a point, and I asked him what he knew about chiropractic care. He knew a lot because he had been going ever since he was a senior in high school, which was nearly four years prior to my meeting him. (more…)
